However, global statistics reveal concerning challenges: 9.2% of patients experience harm during their care journey, of which 43.5% is preventable. Furthermore, medical errors are a cause of death for thousands of people worldwide annually.

Based on these facts, this course is designed to address:

1. Core concepts of Total Quality in Healthcare and its six dimensions: Safety, Effectiveness, Appropriateness, Accessibility, Patient Satisfaction, and Efficiency.

2. Performance measurement tools and data analysis (e.g., control charts, flowcharts) to identify sources of variation in processes.

3. Strategies for successful implementation of improvement programs, using proven models like PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act), change management, and enhancing collaboration among multidisciplinary teams.

4. The role of effective leadership in building an organizational culture that supports continuous learning and transforms tacit knowledge into explicit practices.
